The season opens with the unmistakeable fate motif from Beethoven’s fifth symphony. In the second half, Frome Symphony is joined by guest musicians to form a 100-piece orchestra for a unique performance of Shostakovich’s dramatic fourth symphony.

The final concert of the season includes John Adams’s famous Foxtrot for Orchestra, from his opera Nixon in China.


Cheese and Grain Concerts
The concerts on November 6, February 10, May 14 and July 16 take place in the Cheese and Grain, Market Yard, Frome, BA11 1BN. Tickets cost £12 (adult) and £5 (under 18). They can be purchased in advance in person at the Cheese and Grain box office or by calling 01373 455420. Tickets can also be purchased for cash on the door, subject to availability.

Family concert
Tickets for the family concert on January 28 are all priced at £5, and are available online (booking fee applies) or for cash on the door.
